How to get here

From Johannesburg travel on the N3 to Van Reenen’s Pass. Go through the Tugela Toll Plaza, and continue 14km to the R616 Bergville turnoff. Proceed left on the N11 towards Ladysmith. After 4km turn right onto the R600 Spioenkop / Winterton Rd. Travel over the highway and at the T-junction turn left to Winterton. At Winterton, take a right over the railway line (R600) and follow the road until you reach the crossroads at Thokozisa. Go straight for another 11km. You will see Champagne Sports Resort on your left.

The Drakensberg is a year-round destination - although it can be cool in winter, especially when there is snow on the mountains.
