Some 1,7 million shoppers frequent The Pavilion each month – many more than in most malls in Johannesburg
If you find yourself on a business trip or beach holiday in Durban and have the time and inclination to do some shopping, or if you have exciting travel plans through the Midlands region or further afield in Zululand, then the Pavilion shopping centre is the place for you. Every month more than 1,7 million local and international shoppers visit this shopping centre in KwaZulu-Natal, which boasts a wide variety of stores and restaurants.
The huge four-storey mall is home to all the typical South African quality chain stores like Woolworths, Truworths, Edgards, CNA, among others. The Pavilion shopping centre has branches of all national banks located on its premises and the building is also home to a good selection of curio, gift shops and jewellers. It is one of the hot spots for fashionable Durbanites, because of the many boutiques and exclusive clothing stores.
Situated in Durban’s lush inland satellite town of Westville, the Pavilion also boasts a wide choice of restaurants – there’s always something for you whether you feel like an Indian curry, Italian pasta or a juicy South African fillet steak. The Westville shopping centre also has entertainment areas and cinemas under its roof. The centre is perfectly situated along the N3 highway and has over 6 000 covered and open parking bays, giving visitors direct access to the centre and ensuring that shoppers are protected by state-of-the-art security.
So whether you just want a cool retreat from Durban’s hot summer sun or you must see that Hollywood blockbuster that everyone’s talking about, the Pavilion should be your shopping destination of choice in the greater Durban area. As the biggest and most popular destination for shoppers in KwaZulu-Natal, you can confidently step into the mall with the guarantee that you will find what you are looking for in one of the 230 stores − or have a lot of fun trying!
