UMDWEBO 2006 FESTIVAL

Location: Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal


Umdwebo is a Zulu word meaning “to create art” or to “underline something beautiful”. What better place then, than under the Dolphin Coast skies to celebrate the art of inspirational living? This festival will feature a leading South African artist’s work at each event - all of which are unique…

A “Cognac, Coffee and Chocolate evening” sounds delicious or what about the “Blacktie and Ballroom Gown but NO shoes” gala dinner on the Salt Rock beach? 2006 NEDBANK GOLF CHALLENGE
Date: 30 November-3 December 2006
Location: Sun City, North West Province


The Nedbank Golf Challenge is one of the greatest international sporting events held in South Africa and definitely the most popular tournament on the SA golfing calendar. World-class golfers are invited to battle it out on South Africa’s highest ranked golf course, the Gary Player Country Club.

Set in the unique Sun City resort, this premier event is sure to produce a thrilling spectacle of golf for the 26th year. Ticket prices have already been released, so book to avoid disappointment. TURTLE SPOTTING
Date: November 2006 - March 2007
Location: St. Lucia, KwaZulu-Natal


Follow the miracle of the reproduction of the gigantic (up to 1200kg) leatherback and loggerhead turtles in their annual nesting (Nov-Jan) and hatching (Jan-Mar) rituals in the St. Lucia World Heritage Site.

Female turtles lay up to ten eggs per season, and when hatched, the little ones make their way to the ocean. These extraordinary events take place in the evenings, making it all the more mysterious. Trips are with qualified and experienced guides and take approximately 8-24 hours.
