THE IMAGE LIBRARY SERVICE:
This Internet service is available free of charge to any person or entity who intends to use the service to promote tourism to the Republic of South Africa and includes members of the media, tour operators, travel agents.

The Image Library may be made available to any other person or entity at the sole discretion of, and on such terms as may be decided by the Librarian of the SOUTH AFRICAN TOURISM. E-mail: marian@southafrica.net

Terms and Conditions of Use of the Image Library.
In order to make use of this service free of charge, you must:

  1. Use or intend to use the photographs accessible from this site to promote tourism to the Republic of South Africa.


  2. Be a member of the media, tour operator, travel agent and/or any other person or entity wanting to promote tourism to the Republic of South Africa.


  3. Acknowledge that all copyright in the photographs rests in SOUTH AFRICAN TOURISM (or the copyright owner specified under the image details) and is never sold or assigned.


  4. Acknowledge that, provided use of the photographs is fully in accordance with this agreement, you may make unlimited free use of any and all photographs accessible from this site. You must further agree that your rights under this agreement may not be transferred in any form to a third party.


  5. Acknowledge SOUTH AFRICAN TOURISM (or any Copyright owner other than South African Tourism) as the copyright owner and source of the photograph in a clearly legible manner alongside each photograph e.g. 'Courtesy of SOUTH AFRICAN TOURISM, 'Courtesy of EASTERN PROVINCE', 'Courtesy of THE BLUE TRAIN'


  6. Supply, free of charge, to the SOUTH AFRICAN TOURISM Head Office (marked for the attention: Head International Operations) 2 (TWO) hard copy/printed versions of the material in which the photograph/s has/have been used.

  7. Agree, at the instance of SOUTH AFRICAN TOURISM and without cause, to cease all use of the photograph/s and destroy all copies you have made or allowed to be made, and to reimburse SOUTH AFRICAN TOURISM (or any Copyright owner other than South African Tourism) for all costs incurred in protecting its rights under this agreement.


  8. Agree that 300 Euros/£200.00 is a reasonable penalty, payable by you to SOUTH AFRICAN TOURISM (or any Copyright owner other than South African Tourism) in lieu of damages, for each use of a photograph not in accordance with or permitted by this agreement. You must further agree to make payment of each penalty on demand by SOUTH AFRICAN TOURISM.
