“If you can spend a perfectly useless afternoon in a perfectly useless manner, you have learned how to live.â€Â  Lin Yutang (1895 – 1976) 18km East of the coastal town of Plettenberg Bay, Hog Hollow Country Lodge & Villa, is set on the edge of indigenous forest with breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys and Tsitsikamma Mountains. Sixteen suites situated in lush gardens surrounding the main house, decorated with  earthy colours, bright fabrics, African artifacts & local handcrafted woods.  Comfortable suites offer private wooden decks, king sized beds, lounge area, en-suite bathrooms and most have cosy fireplaces. Superb breakfasts are served on the sunny boma deck, while scrumptious communal dinners are served in the candle-lit main house. The Villa at Hog Hollow is 400m from the main Lodge overlooking the forests and mountains.   A spacious three-bedroomed  Villa includes a games room, swimming pool, barbeque facilities and a central eating area . Ideal for families or 2 couples travelling. Attractions as the lodge:  swimming pool, sauna, horse riding, a massage on the treatment deck or in the privacy of your room, or  a forest walk. Other attractions:  Monkeyland Primate Sanctuary, Birds of Eden, Elephant Sanctuary, over 50 charted walks,  golf, canoeing, bungy jumping,  whale and dolphin watching, treetops canopy walk, long sandy beaches, restaurants, wine estates, the list is endless ...
