Testing physical limits at the Salomon SkyRun

The Salomon SkyRun takes place every year (weather conditions permitting) on the fourth Saturday of November, and has grown into an internationally recognised ultra trail run.

This year's event, which took place on the weekend of 22 November, was won by Iain Don-Wauchope, while the ladies' race was won by Landie Greyling. The run sees participants take on a 100km unmarked trail through the Witteberg mountains in the Eastern Cape.

Highlights from the 2014 Salomon SkyRun 2014

For some, it's not a race; nobody is out to beat anybody else. Your only competition is you, how far you push yourself, facing mother nature’s wrath on the Witteberg mountains ...

The SkyRun takes place every year (weather conditions permitting) on the fourth Saturday of November, and has since grown into an internationally recognised ultra trail run.

SkyRunners never know for certain what to expect on the trail, but one thing’s for certain – they will come out stronger at the end with a renewed respect for nature.
