Sabie Town House, Mpumalanga

If you’re looking for the perfect base for touring Mpumalanga’s Panorama Route with its gorgeous scenic attractions – the Blyde (Motlatse) River Canyon, God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck potholes, the Sabie waterfalls and so much more – then look no further than Sabie Town House.

The Zebra Suite

Situated in the friendly little town of Sabie, that sits among the plantations one of the biggest man-made forests in the world, the award-winning roomy, attractive Sabie Town House, set in small lovely gardens, offers incredible value-for-money.

Perfect for a dip after a day's touring...

Four family rooms (some wheelchair-friendly), one luxury suite, and a self-catering family cottage are all animal-themed: Zebra (the luxury suite which is as big as many a city apartment), Leopard (the family cottage), Rhino, Hippo, Giraffe and Elephant.

All the rooms are attractively furnished with comfy beds, colourful bedspreads and soft furnishings, they have all a traveller needs, including tea and coffee making facilities. A big delicious English breakfast is part of the deal.

Continental or full Engllish breakfast?

I stayed in the Zebra Suite, where photographs of elegant rather snooty looking zebras gazed down on me as I snuggled under the huge soft black-and-white striped throw on my big double bed before sinking into the big jacuzzi on one of my outside wooden decks.

If you intend to use Sabie Town House as a base for touring, then choose Leopard, the self-catering cottage, where you can set up a second home and cook, braai and chill to your heart’s content.

If you’re a couple, then shell out a little more money and take the huge Zebra suite. If you’re part of a group, or with family and friends, the friendly owners will set up an evening braai under the stars. And if you want to bring Fido, Kitty or Polly with you, Sabie Town House is pet-friendly.
