The quaint town of Howick in KwaZulu-Natal, which is home to South African Idols stars Jason Hartman and Pixie Bennett, is also home to some awesome adventure activities.

Howick is probably best known for Howick Falls, a 107m waterfall surrounded by a lush, green valley. A tour company called Spirit of Adventure offers abseiling down Howick Falls throughout the year. A boat at the bottom ferries adventurers safely back to land and a scenic forest hike takes you back to the starting point at the top.
