Hike the Tip of Africa

Getting out in the great outdoors is always good for stress levels, so why not hike the southernmost tip of Africa? The Rasperpunt Hiking Trail in the Agulhas National Park is a circular trail that begins at the Meisho Maru shipwreck and follows a marked route along the coastline with views of fynbos, ancient fish traps and the ocean. A combination of mountains and ocean is a balm for the soul - look out for the Cape Platana, the Damara Tern and the African Black Oystercatcher along the way. The hike takes approximately three hours and ends up at the Agulhas Lighthouse - which is also known as a national monument.
