Sip on a delicious South African Sauvignon Blanc in celebration of spring

The jasmine is making an appearance, the polar necks and leather boots have been put away, the pavement cafes are buzzing, and the message on the streets of Johannesburg is clear – spring is in the air; it’s time to wave goodbye to winter and to celebrate the delicious warmer weather.

And what better way to celebrate the arrival of spring than by sipping delicious South African Sauvignon Blanc wines and spending some time with friends?

Good times and great wines at the Spring Sauvignon Blanc Festival at Montecasino

The Spring Sauvignon Blanc Festival takes place from Friday 31 August to Sunday 2 September at Montecasino in Fourways, Johannesburg, and is 1 of the main attractions of the MTN Festival at Montecasino – which offers 45 days of entertainment, events and festivals.

Whether you like your Sauvignon Blanc grassy, dry, crispy or a touch tart, but always downright delicious, you will have every opportunity to sample the country’s finest wines at this fun festival. The event will showcase 76 of South Africa’s top Sauvignon Blanc wines, and names like Glen Carlou, Bouchard Finlayson, Mulderbosch and Klein Constantia, to mention just a few of the top wine estates, are participating. A number of wine estates will take the opportunity to showcase their new-season whites.

There is lots to look forward to, including fabulous food and great entertainment.
