Calling all Amateur Athletes

In health and fitness circles, 2011 is the year of the Amateur Athlete - and holidays inspired by your latest sport/activity of choice are all the rage (according to Time Magazine).  Whether you’re into cycling, canoeing, running or swimming, South Africa is a great place for amateur athletes to show their stuff. We have got numerous events that take place around the year in which you can show off your form. Put your name down for the Two Oceans Marathon or The Comrades (if you’re amateur bordering on professional), the Duzi Canoe race or the Midmar Mile. South Africa is a great place for you to realise your fitness goals and dreams. If you feel like doing something a little different though, you could always opt for the following: donkey cart derbys in the Free State, Ostrich races in Oudtshoorn or playing golf in a semi-desert (the Klein Karoo).
