Breathe In, Breathe Out

One would imagine that breathing is the most natural thing in the world to do, surely it’s a case of breathe in and breathe out? Not so, according the Breathing SA website that states that: ‘80% of all people in the modern world breath shallowly and a lack of oxygen in the cellular body is now associated with most of the modern-day health and psychological problems people experience…’ So there you have it.

Breathing SA’s Jenny Churr is a breathwork therapist who says that essentially, ‘breath is life’. She assists clients in learning conscious breathing techniques to help balance their physical, mental and emotional states. Jenny says, ‘Breathing works on many levels, for psychological reasons, for general wellness, to calm the body… it’s very holistic and healing’. Jenny and her business partner Kobus Berger facilitate one on one ‘breathing’ sessions in Johannesburg (and other areas) and are also planning various breathwork events around the country.  Watch this space!
