The Comrades Marathon, believed to be the world’s oldest and largest ultra-marathon, is run in KwaZulu-Natal between the coastal city of Durban and the province’s capital, Pietermaritzburg, with the route alternating direction every year.
The Proteas, South Africa’s national cricket team, have made it to the Cricket World Cup semi-finals. We are rightly proud of our boys in green and gold, and millions of South Africans have seen them play at our world-class cricket fields and stadiums.
The general consensus among all players at this year’s Dusi Canoe Marathon was that the race was very well organised, the water quality was good and the support crews outstanding – and as a result the race was enjoyed by competitors, spectators and organisers alike.
